The Taiwanese company Acer has just released a new family of tablets 7 inch
The new Acer Iconia Tab 7 and the Acer Iconia Tab 7 HD; two models brothers who have a similar sheet and which are scarcely differing by some details: the screen resolution, the camera or the embedded processor. It must, however, announce one of its main advantages. And it is that both models are able to combine the tablet functions for which they have been designed with the ability to make calls and connect to 3G networks. Thus, in addition to use as support for browsing, viewing multimedia to read email, users of this Iconia Tab 7 can make calls to your contacts or access the Internet at any time by connecting data that have contracted with your operator.
They feature a storage capacity estimated at 16 GB which can expand whenever you want with up to 32 GB microSD card. The operating system chosen for the occasion is Android in version 4.2 for Acer Iconia Tab 7 and 4.4.2 for HD editing, although the former promises upgrade soon to a newer edition of the platform Google. The battery can provide, for the two models, a range of up to 6 hours at full capacity. Both tablets will go on sale shortly in the market by 150 and 180 euros, respectively.
The new Acer Iconia Tab 7 presents a design as classic. With 8.9 millimeters thick and 298 grams in weight for both models, this is a convenient and very comfortable device to hold in any situation. The basic version, which we identify with the model number A1-713, has set up a capacitive panel 7 inch TFT with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels. This makes the resulting density is estimated at 170 dots per inch. The screen of the Acer Iconia Tab HD, with serial number A1-713HD is also 7-inch, but it works through technology IPS (Enhanced LCD) and has a slightly higher resolution: 800 x 1280 pixels, which affect a density of 216 dots per inch.
The front of the computer is practically taken by the screen, but at the top we find space for the secondary camera and sensors. Currently, Acer only markets these teams in two versions that differ by color: the white or the black.
The camera is also another feature that distinguishes this pair of tablets. The so-called Acer Iconia Tab 7 has a main camera with 2 megapixel sensors that we will be useful to obtain images of 1600 x 1200 pixels. The Acer Iconia Tab 7 HD, however, includes a 5 megapixel sensor, prepared to get higher quality images of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Both have, yes, to find a second chamber located at the front of the equipment, which will serve to make video calls or selfies.
As for its multimedia potential, users can rest easy, because both teams keep compatibility with most existing formats or extensions of photography, music and video, which means you should not experience any problems when playing your favorite content. Its 7-inch wide screen is postulated as ideal for videos support: more than if we did through a smartphone with a smaller screen size. And thanks to its potential in the section on connectivity, users of this Acer Iconia Tab 7 can access reproductive services in streaming like YouTube or Spotify and enjoy, wherever they are, their favorite music or videos.
In the section on memory there are no distinctions. Both versions integrate a capacity of 16 GB which can further expand with microSD cards up to 32 GB. This means that we always carry the content we want, without fear of staying out of space soon. Yes, the Acer Iconia Tab 7 works through a processor Mediatek with quad-core architecture, while the Acer Iconia Tab 7 HD does by Intel Atom Z2560 of dual-core 1.6 GHz. The two combine performance of these chips with 1 GB of RAM, enough for a team like this. Users should have a good experience on board, both when running simple applications like video games or launch files with a high burden of graphics.
In the section of the operating system but we can not confirm the integration platform icons Google, although disparate versions. The Acer Iconia Tab 7, for example, part of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, even though Acer wanted to ensure a speedy upgrade to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which is the latest version we have today in the market. The Acer Iconia Tab 7 HD, however, runs directly through this advanced editing. They also include direct access to the unique features and services offered by Acer. One of the most interesting is undoubtedly Acer Cloud, the storage system in the cloud that can be accessed by users to free up space on the internal memory.
But this is not all, for good device as Android; the Acer Iconia Tab 7 (also HD version) has installed serial key applications that provide access to free services from Google. We refer to Google Search, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc..
