The mid-range manufacturer Lenovo has a very balanced new terminal for users wanting an entertainment tool powerful enough for demanding applications and games, and a device with a durable and stylish design with metallic finishes. This is the Lenovo S660, a terminal SUV aimed at the mid-range but powerful and interesting features in a terminal 4.7-inch screen. It also has long battery life to extend the hours of leisure or work that can assume its powerful quad-core chip. We discuss in detail below.

The Lenovo S660 is a midrange terminal not in design saves. At least it’s one of the few who choose the polished finishes on the back metal. It is a housing that allows its firm attachment and gives a sleek design and the feeling of strength and hardness. But it is not unique. This material also helps to prevent it from being marked by bumps and accidental scratches, while preventing the appearance of dirt since neither allows fingerprints remain marked. The dimensions do not bet on the way but that give a sense of comfort and strength in the user’s hand.

As for the screen of this terminal, you have to talk about a 4.7-inch panel. A wide enough to enjoy content such as movies, books or video games size, but not lost in handling, controlling all aspects with one hand. Something negative is that on that screen HD picture quality, staying close to its maximum resolution of 960 X 540 pixels fails. It is known as qHD quality. All in an IPS technology for colors defined with a capacitive screen that is capable of recognizing up to five points at a time.

In this aspect the terminal remains SUV, with two cameras for all types of pictures and videos, as well as video calls. The back has an 8 megapixel sensor capable of taking pictures and videos of HD quality. It is also accompanied by an auto-focus function so that the user only has to point and shoot, worrying the terminal itself to focus and define the object you see on screen. And along with these features, also an LED flash that illuminates the scene in dark places is included.

As for the front chamber, it is a much less extent sensor. And it has only 0.3 megapixels. This means getting content in a much lower resolution, although we must not forget that usually used for video calls, where interested generate content for lightweight transmission is smooth. It does its job but unnoticed in resolution.

This is one of the strengths of this Lenovo S660. And within the average range in which it moves, striking features specs that give that goal SUV. So riding a CPU MediaTek chip 6582m quad core 1.3 Ghz clock speed that allows you to move any current content, but perhaps looking a little more limited with the most powerful games. It is a power that is supported at its 1 GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly, no slowdowns even if multiple applications are open simultaneously.

Nor it falls short in its paragraph capacity. Thus, although the initial model has only 8 GB of space to fill with apps, photos, music, videos and documents, has the potential to be expanded to 32 GB with Micro SD memory cards. It is more than enough for normal use of a smartphone. Although we must not lose sight of the storage possibilities of cloud services if those 32 GB still appear little.

As in the rest of devices from the S range of Lenovo, the S660 arrives with Android installed 4.2, better known as Jelly Bean. A version of the Google operating system which is still majority among users of this platform, but begins to fall against outdated versions 4.3 or even 4.4 KitKat that bring the terminals pointers. However it has a really agile and balanced performance, with all the customization options without major restrictions when installing applications.

As for applications, the Lenovo S660 comes with a good collection of own tools which combine the company under the name Lenovo Premium. Its utilities that allow users to share content from the terminal with other devices more easily than manually, carry out loads of content to the cloud to have a backup of important issues, and the protection of other data terminal, among other questions.

The Lenovo S660 terminal arrives ready to present. So has HSPA + data connection, GPRS, EDGE to provide Internet access anywhere at a maximum speed of 21 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload. But do not look to the future and neglects the LTE technology for high-speed connections.

However it does have a router Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n to connect to wireless networks and Bluetooth 4.0 connections to link all kinds of peripherals such as stereos, headphones, speakerphone, smart bracelets, etc.. Beside that also features a 3.5mm jack port for headphones. Note that this terminal supports for dual SIM, allowing the user to use up to two cards to save on telephone rates or take advantage of the options of either operator when needed.
