The important technical differences of the Galaxy Tab S and the Galaxy Tab 4
If you are thinking about getting a tablet Android, Samsung has an interesting offer that was extended just a few days ago with the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 inch. This model falls in the high range and remarkable for its ultra-thin design and display technology Super AMOLED. The company has a number of other tablets that offer benefits tighter. This is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, where we can find a model with a large format screen, namely 10.1 inches. We make a comparison with these two models.
The screen is the highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, and as we said the team has a panel technology Super AMOLED. It reproduces brilliant colors, deeper blacks that enhance contrast and also consumes less energy than other systems. It also has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and concentrated 287 pixels per inch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4 panel has a TFT of 10.1 inches, the resolution of which remains in 1,280 x 800 pixels and has a density of 149 dots per inch.
Samsung maintains a line of very similar design in almost all its range of tablets, which is characterized by rounded corners and frame with metal finish around the entire surface. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 is only on sale in an edition with 16 GB of internal capacity that can be expanded with cards microSD of 64 GB The new model has two versions of 16 or 32 Gb and accepts MicroSD up to 128 GB.
Both tablets are fairly new and therefore carry the same version of the operating system, which corresponds to Android 4.4 KitKat. This release is optimized to provide a more fluid performance and has some minor developments such as slight changes in the design of the lock screen icons or status bar, which are now white. The differences at this point are the functions introduced by Samsung, which are more advanced in the case of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S.
This model integrates a fingerprint sensor on the start button which increases the safety lock terminal and also serves to make mobile payments. It also has other features like Samsung Story Album, the video editor integrated, the way children, S Note, S Translator mode or multi-user to name a few. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 we find features like MultiWindow to view two applications split screen, Group Play for real-time multimedia files and applications like sharing Samsung ChatON.
Although there are many differences in other sections, the connection is pretty even. The most striking difference is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S brings a port infrared and the system also features DLNA to mirror the screen. Otherwise we find the same systems, beginning with its ability to connect to mobile networks 4G, although this would have to buy the model that integrates this system, as there is another only with WiFi and one with WiFi and 3G. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S has a battery of 7,900 milliamps, but so far no clues about the autonomy offer and so does the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 carrying a battery of 6,800 milliamps.
