HTC One M8 and LG G2, as the best terminals at the moment
HTC unveiled its new flagship, the rumored a few weeks ago HTC One M8. The new model of the Taiwanese brand is betting on a metallic design very attractive with the two speakers in the front and also bears the Ultrapixel camera with some new features. This time we will compare with the LG G2, another heavyweight segment Android that can boast of having highly advanced components and a very stylish design. We see the most important differences.
We started with the HTC One M8, which features a screen five inches with resolution FullHD 1080p. Its density is 440 ppi and the screen is Super LCD 3. The LG G2 is a bit wider, reaching 5.2 inches, the screen is IPS LCD and has a resolution FullHD, but the size makes a slightly lower density 424 ppi.
As mentioned, the two have a very elegant design, but in the case of HTC One M8 it is noteworthy that its aesthetic is more striking and perhaps might say aggressive. Its chassis is made of aluminum with brushed metal effect and the shape is very ergonomic, rounded edges so as the curve of its back cover. The device is very robust and has virtually eliminated all plastic, so it is mostly made of glass and metal. It has two large speakers in the front, and for this reason its shape is more elongated and is also more wide, heavy its opponent.
Meanwhile the LG G2 has a classic design that stands out for the lack of buttons on the sides, getting a much cleaner and uncluttered appearance with very fine edges. The volume controls and the power button have been moved to the rear, just under the camera, where they remain accessible. This model is thinner and less elongated, thus also get a more accurate weight.
The camera is one of the highlights of the HTC One M8, as we said the system still has Ultrapixel. The idea is that the sensor only has a four-megapixel, but it makes up about three times larger pixels than normal, so it also captures the triple light than conventional sensor. In this case the HTC seasoned it with a second lens that is responsible for capturing information about the depth and can be applied by separating figure and ground effects, such as blur or color filters. The main lens is very light (f/2.0), has an LED flash with five power levels, stabilizing optical and HTC ImageChip 2 image processor.
The terminal is capable of recording videos FullHD with HDR effect or slow motion and also has a front camera for no less than five Megapixels of resolution and lens wide angle. Meanwhile the LG G2 carries a camera megapixel BSI thirteen, which is also ready to take pictures in low light. One of its most interesting features is the nine-point autofocus and also the optical stabilizer. The lens is covered with sapphire crystal, has LED flash, digital zoom up to eight and FullHD video recording at 60 frames per second. Their front camera has 2.1 megapixels resolution.
The HTC One M8 has several interesting multimedia features, but mostly offers a complete sound experience thanks to its two powerful speakers on the front. The LG G2 also has a system of high definition sound and the two agree in their technology of noise cancellation that helps calls are best heard in any environment.
The HTC One M8 is a more current model and that gives advantage in points as the processor. This model rides a Snapdragon 801, one quad-core Krait 400 operating at 2.3 Ghz frequency. The LG G2 carries a 800-2.26 Ghz Snapdragon which is the previous model, although the difference is very slight. Both have 2 GB of memory RAM. In the case of internal memory we are talking about a background of 16 Gb for HTC One M8, which are also expandable to 128 Gb bonus if you use a MicroSD. The LG G2 is available in a version of 16 GB and one 32 GB, but neither allows enlargement.
Both models have analyzed the latest Android (4.4 KitKat), although in the case of the LG G2 reached it via a software update. Both have all the news of this release and the package of Google, but every manufacturer provides its own functions that help define the user experience. The HTC One M8 opens the interface HTC Sense 6.0, which comes with features like gesture control, which allows us to perform tasks by moving the terminal, such as opening the camera to put the phone in the normal position (horizontal and the height of the eyes).
You also have the widget HTC Blinkfeed to be aware of all news and application SenseTV, with which you can control the TV and explore the various programs. The LG G2 comes with its own pack of features, among which are KnockOn a system that is used to unlock the screen by tapping a pattern previously set. It also has Plug & Pop, Capture Plus, Clip Tray and guest mode.
